The Pacific Southwest District of the Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod (PSD-LCMS) is overjoyed to share the incredible progress and achievements of its LuTEC High School. In a short span of time, LuTEC has not only established itself as a beacon of Christ-centered education but has also earned the prestigious accreditation from the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) for Grades 9-11.
From its inception, LuTEC High School was envisioned as a place where students could receive a personalized, career-focused education within the nurturing framework of Christian values. The school's mission to "Rethink Education" has guided every step of its journey, ensuring that each student is equipped with the knowledge, skills, and faith to thrive in an ever-changing world.
The recent WASC accreditation is a testament to the dedication and hard work of the entire LuTEC community. This milestone was achieved through a comprehensive self-study and an initial visit by fellow educators who evaluated the school's programs based on WASC criteria. The visiting committee's report highlighted several strengths of LuTEC, including its commitment to personalized learning, career-focused education, and the unwavering dedication of its staff.
One of the most remarkable aspects of LuTEC's journey has been the strong sense of community and collaboration among all stakeholders. Parents, students, staff, the Strategic Planning Committee, and PSD Board and staff have all played vital roles in shaping the school's vision and ensuring its success. The individualized attention given to each student has been a key factor in their academic and personal growth, as noted by both parents and the visiting committee.
As we celebrate this significant achievement, we are reminded of the words of Philippians 4:13, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." The journey of LuTEC High School is a powerful example of God's work in action, demonstrating how faith, dedication, and a shared vision can lead to extraordinary outcomes.
