Student Aid (2019 Application Window Closed)


Financial aid is available through the PSD for students that are preparing for full-time church work.

The forms needed are:

District Student Aid Guidelines

Pastor Evaluation Form (to District Office)

District Financial Aid Application (original to school - copy to District Office)


Also, students who are children of Pacific Southwest District Rostered Church Workers and going into church work, may apply for ThankOffering Scholarships. These funds are from a special offering collected each year at the Lutheran Educators Conference. Use the link below to download the ThankOffering application.

ThankOffering Scholarships (to District Office)

In addition to District Aid and ThankOffering Scholarship, the William R. Hampton Memorial Music Scholarship Award is a gift from Resurrection Lutheran Church of Boron, CA, that provides monetary assistance for students who are Music Majors preparing to serve the church through Music. Persons applying for this scholarship must have a career goal of a Minister of Music, Worship Arts Director, Leader of Contemporary Worship, Choral/Instrumental Conductor or Music Teacher at an LCMS school, Director of Parish Music (DPM) or a combination of these positions. To qualify, you must have a Music Major with an emphasis on Church Music and attending an LCMS University. In addition, you must hold membership in a congregation of the Pacific Southwest District. Qualified students will be awarded $1000 per school year. Below is the link to the Music Scholarship Award.
