Risen Savior Lutheran Church, Chandler, AZ
Rev. Mark Hoffmann was installed as the pastor of Christ Lutheran Church in Coolidge on Sunday, April 24th. The installation marks the next chapter in the partnership between Risen Savior Lutheran Church in Chandler and Christ Lutheran. Pastor Hoffmann has been the Pastor of Congregational Care at Risen Savior since November 2014, but began serving the people in Coolidge in November 2021. After a four month trial period the leadership of both congregations agreed that this will be a long term partnership.
Pastor Hoffmann will devote 70% of his time to Christ Lutheran and 30% of his time to Risen Savior. In the agreement Pastor Hoffmann will continue to visit the homebound and hospitalized, lead Stephen’s Ministry, and offer an occasional Bible Study at Risen Savior. The majority of his time will be spent serving the people of Christ Lutheran and looking for ways to reach out this growing community. One Sunday a month Pastor Hoffmann will worship with the Risen Savior to maintain his excellent relationship with them.
The benefit of this relationship is that Pastor Hoffman has the resources of a larger congregation as he seeks God given growth in Coolidge. The staff at Risen Savior will serve as a resource for Pastor Hoffmann as well as enabling him to be part of a team. The members of Risen Savior see this as a great opportunity to serve the larger church.
