Part-Time Choir Director – Faith Lutheran Church, Vista, CA
We are looking for someone to develop and lead an Adult Choir and Children’s Choir (with children from our after-school program).

About the Role:
We’re looking for someone who loves working with people of all ages and enjoys helping them make music together. You’ll direct both our Adult Choir and Children’s Choir, plan and lead rehearsals, and guide the choirs as they share their music in worship.
Responsibilities:
Direct Adult Choir practice once a week in the evening
Direct Children’s Choir practice once a week during the day (after-school program)
Lead the Adult Choir in Sunday worship about once a month, plus special holiday services
Lead the Children’s Choir at one Sunday worship every 4–5 weeks
Play piano for rehearsals and choir performances
Plan and lead rehearsals in a way that helps singers feel confident and prepared
Prepare choirs for special services such as Advent/Christmas, Holy Week/Easter, and other festival Sundays
Work with the pastor to select music that supports a Christ-centered theme
Communicate rehearsal schedules and coordinate with choir members and families

Salary & Time Commitment:
Salary: $10,800 per year (9 months)
Schedule: one weekly adult rehearsal (evening), one weekly children rehearsal (daytime) and two monthly Sunday Service performances. Some additional hours for months of Christmas and Easter.
