Lutheran Braille Workers (LBW), a recognized service organization of the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod, seeks a qualified applicant to serve as president. This is a full time position based in Yucaipa, California. Responsibilities

• Collaborates with the Board of Directors (BOD) to effectively fulfill LBW’s mission.

• Responsible for effective and timely communication with the BOD concerning all information that is necessary for the board to function properly

• Maintains the financial health of the organization including active participation in all fundraising efforts

• Works to make Lutheran Braille Workers visible in the community via collaboration with churches and other organizations

• Responsible for effective administration and management of LBW’s headquarters and staff

Qualifications

• Active member of a Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod congregation

• Previous senior nonprofit management and board experience

• Must demonstrate strong organizational and leadership abilities

• Must demonstrate proficiency in managing a budget

• Must demonstrate excellent communication skills and the ability to use a wide array of communication methods

• Must be able to travel both domestically and internationally

• A bachelor’s degree is required, and a master’s degree is preferred
