High School Math Teacher

Job Summary:

North Valley Christian Academy, in Phoenix, Arizona, is seeking a passionate and qualified High School Math Teacher to teach courses ranging from Algebra I through Pre-Calculus.

The ideal candidate is committed to academic rigor, student growth, and integrating a biblical worldview into mathematics instruction.

Qualifications:

  • Teach assigned math courses (Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II, Pre-Calculus, etc.)

  • Develop engaging, standards-aligned lesson plans

  • Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learners

  • Use formative and summative assessments to guide instruction

  • Maintain accurate grading and communication with parents

  • Integrate biblical truth and worldview into mathematics instruction

  • Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and school events

  • Serve as a mentor and spiritual role model to students

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics or related field (Master’s preferred)

  • Valid teaching certification (preferred but not always required in private schools)

  • Experience teaching high school math

  • Strong classroom management skills

  • Ability to disciple students academically and spiritually

  • Agreement with the school’s Statement of Faith

Compensation:

Compensation will be based on experience and qualifications in accordance with NVCA’s pay scale.
