The Pacific Southwest District’s 2024 All Workers Conference (AWC) will be held at the Sheraton Phoenix Downtown (340 N. 3rd St., Phoenix, AZ 85004) on Sunday, November 24 - Tuesday, November 26, 2024. This event occurs every three years in our district as a venue for all of our ordained and commissioned church and school workers to attend together. Approximately 1500 Lutheran pastors, educators (preschool through college level), school administrators, youth leaders, music ministers and more will attend. ​ The event features a rich conference schedule that will include compelling content throughout! Along with many opportunities for fellowship and reconnecting with colleagues, our Monday evening banquet will feature Christian comedian Jeff Allen providing great entertainment.

Worship and Keynote Speakers
The conference starts Sunday afternoon at 4pm with plenary keynote presentation by Dr. Danny Brassell, "America's Leading Reading Ambassador" and author of 16 books, including his best-selling book, Read, Lead & Succeed. The presentation will be followed by an exciting kickoff event at 7pm featuring praise and worship, commissioned minister jubilarian recognition and more.
Rev. Dr. Mike Gibson, President of the Pacific Southwest District, will lead our worship on Monday morning. This year’s conference offering is designated to go to a newly created Pacific Southwest District Church Worker Scholarship Fund.
After worship on Monday, you'll experience an interactive keynote presentation by Dr. Vanessa Seifert on adaptive leadership.
Breakout Sessions
Multiple breakout sessions will be offered on a variety of topics directly relevant to the many ministries in our District. Breakout session topics will include Artificial Intelligence, Building Leadership Culture, Crisis Preparation and Management, Worship/Music Q&A, Preaching, Parent Communication, and much more.
