
Lutheran Braille Workers (LBW), a recognized service organization of the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod, seeks a qualified applicant to serve as president. This is a full time position based in Yucaipa, California. Responsibilities
Collaborates with the Board of Directors (BOD) to effectively fulfill LBW’s mission.
Responsible for effective and timely communication with the BOD concerning all information that is necessary for the board to function properly
Maintains the financial health of the organization including active participation in all fundraising efforts
Works to make Lutheran Braille Workers visible in the community via collaboration with churches and other organizations
Responsible for effective administration and management of LBW’s headquarters and staff
Qualifications
Active member of a Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod congregation
Previous senior nonprofit management and board experience
Must demonstrate strong organizational and leadership abilities
Must demonstrate proficiency in managing a budget
Must demonstrate excellent communication skills and the ability to use a wide array of communication methods
Must be able to travel both domestically and internationally
A bachelor’s degree is required, and a master’s degree is preferred
